Macon, Georgia, 31201! Job Title: RN - Emergency Department

Shift: 12-Hour Evening Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience:
Minimum of 2 years Emergency Department RN experience License: BLS
(Basic Life Support) required Certifications: - BCR (Basic Cardiac
Rhythm) required - ACLS - PALS - TNCC - NIHSS - National
certification in Emergency nursing preferred but not required
Must-Have: - Level 1 Trauma and Emergency room nursing experience -
Ability to manage drips: Heparin, Insulin, Cardene, Dopamine,
Epinephrine, Fentanyl, Propofol, Levophed Description: The
Emergency Department consists of licensed beds with a Level 1
Trauma designation. This is a teaching hospital with specific
centers for chest pain and stroke. The unit has 61 beds, with
additional surge capacity as needed. The average patient ratio is 1
RN to 4 patients, depending on the assigned zone. Registered Nurses
will have support from certified nursing assistants for various
tasks. Unit secretaries and charge nurses are also available to
assist in department operations. The schedule includes weekend
rotations, with 5-6 weekend shifts over a 6-week cycle. Holiday
expectations include working one shift during major holidays.
Registered Nurses may be required to float within the department or
to alternate locations. Central telemetry monitoring and a
dedicated response team are available 24/7. Technology includes an
electronic medical record system and various equipment for patient
care. The unit culture is busy, with an emphasis on teamwork and
