ACLS, NIH Must-Have: - Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU
setting - Experience with adult and geriatric patient populations
Description: Candidates must have experience with general diagnoses
including ARDS, sepsis, stroke, STEMI, DKA, post-operative
complications, cardiogenic shock, gastrointestinal bleeding, COPD
exacerbation, encephalopathy, liver failure, drug overdose, and
end-stage renal disease on continuous renal replacement therapy.
The nurse should be prepared for a patient ratio of 1:2-3. The unit
has 24 rooms with an average daily census of 19 patients. Block
scheduling is not guaranteed. No travel pairs are allowed
regardless of concurrent assignments. Floating within the facility
and scope of practice may be required as needed. The nurse will be
expected to work major holidays during their assignment period,
with specific guidelines outlined for holiday coverage. Compliance
with all requirements is necessary for a timely start. Candidates
will undergo a clinical review to ensure fit with the specialty
unit. References from supervisory roles are preferred. The role
requires candidates to be open to flexible scheduling. Candidates
must submit all required documents and complete necessary
